Sweet iron 2.5 ring is a milder version of a 3 or 4 ring bit (pessoa bit). It softens the leverage behind the ears and in the mouth.
Description loose ring snaffle:
A loose ring snaffle is a basic bit with round, loose bit rings. This bit is accepted by most of the horses because the mouthpiece lays independent of the bit rings. The mouthpiece can be single-, double-jointed or straight and can be made of various materials. The snaffle is soft when the mouthpiece is thick and of soft material. The bit becomes sharper when the mouthpiece gets thinner and the material harder.
Features straight / unjointed mouthpiece:
A unjointed bit/straight bit often works sharper than a single or double jointed mouthpiece. The shape of the mouthpiece determines the pressure in the mouth. A straight mouth piece with tongue port gives more pressure on the layers and keeps the tongue free. The straighter and thicker the mouthpiece, the more pressure on the tongue.
Blue steel properties: (sweet iron)
Bits made of blue steel are made of a mix of various materials, also called alloys. This gives a sweet taste. The mouthpiece of these bits have a blue or black & nbsp; colour. If the bit is used, the blue or black & nbsp; oxidise the layer, and then become orange / brown in color of the rust. This rust gives that sweet taste. A sweet taste promotes saliva formation and the assumption of the bit.</p
