Eggbut nylon mullen with small rings
The eggbut is a standard side piece. The rings cannot move separately, so that the aid acts more directly and the bit lies relatively still in the mouth. In addition, the bit prevents the lips from getting caught, so that bit rings are not required for this side piece.
Small rings have a more direct effect of the aids than larger rings. The smaller the rings, the more pressure is transferred to a smaller surface. Nice bit for a stronger horse.
Properties of the straight mouthpiece:
A straight mouthpiece often works sharper than a single or double-mouthed mouthpiece. The shape of the mouthpiece determines where the pressure will lie in the mouth. A straight mouthpiece with tongue / port gives more pressure on the layers and keeps the tongue free. The straighter and thicker the mouthpiece, the more pressure on the tongue.
